Sochi 2014: Kazakhstan's Poltoranin came 16th in skiathlon

SOCHI. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's skier Alexey Poltoranin finished 16th in the men's skiathlon 15 km classic + 15 km free at the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi, our correspondent reports. He clocked 1 hour 8 minutes 49.7 seconds lagging behind the winner by 36.1 seconds.

Kazakhstan's Velichko finished the distance in 1 hour 11 minutes 0.1 seconds, Cherepanov in 1 hour 13 minutes 39.7 seconds, and Starostin in 1 hour 15 minutes 36.6 seconds. Dario Cologna took the Olympic Games skiathlon title, while Marcus Hellner came second followed by Martin Johnsrud Sundby.
