Sochi 2014: Kazakhstan to support speed skater Dmitriy Babenko at Winter Olympics
SOCHI. KAZINFORM - Today, Kazakhstan will cheer on its speed skaters at the XXII Winter Olympics Games in Sochi.

The 23-year-old Inna Simonova from western Kazakhstan will compete in Women's 1000m heats. Simonova is set to start with Emily Scott from the U.S., Katerina Novotna from the Czech Republic and Seung-Hi Park from South Korea. The race will be held at the Iceberg Skating Palace at 15:30 p.m. Astana time.
Nurbergen Zhumagaliyev and Aydar Bekzhanov of Kazakhstan will participate in short track Men's 500m event at the same skating palace later in the day.
Speed skater Dmitriy Babenko will try his hand in the Men's 10 000m event. The 28-year-old Babenko from northern Kazakhstan already did two races of 5000m and 1 500m in Sochi. The 10 000m race will take place at the Adler Arena Skating Center at 19:00 p.m. Astana time.
