There are some 25 families with Kazakhstani citizens in Gaza Strip, Official Spokesperson of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aibek Smadyarov said a briefing today, Kazinform Agency reports.
“According to the information provided by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Jordan, as many as 25 families with the nationals of Kazakhstan are staying in Gaza Strip. Most of them are Kazakhstani women who married the nationals of Palestine,” said Smadyarov.
Based on reports received, the Ministry learned that some families are constantly moving through the Gaza Strip in search of a safe place, after Israel announced a ground operation, and due to “ongoing bombing,” Smadyarov noted.
“Ground traffic is hampered, there are problems with communication and electricity,” added he.
Earlier, Smadyarov said that about 400 Kazakhstani citizens may stay in Israel without consular registration. The Ministry has not received any information about the Kazakhstanis killed in Israel.
