Some 400 kids admitted daily to hospitals in November

The Kazakh Healthcare Ministry announced the epidemiological situation across Kazakhstan recorded in November, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to the local executive bodies, there are 2,911 beds, including 139 ICU beds at the children’s hospitals. 52% of beds are occupied across Kazakhstan. As of November 10, 2,079 children are staying in the hospitals.

Some 300 children are discharged from the hospitals every day while 400 are admitted amid surging measles cases. Almost 200 kids are treated at the infectious diseases hospital at Children’s hospital No.3. Most of them have never before been vaccinated against measles. 30 children are staying at the intensive care unit with 15 of them under 12 months old.
