South Korean company signs deal to build TPP in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - South Korea's Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has signed a deal to build a thermal power plant in Kazakhstan.

The contract is worth 340 billion won ($ 308 million), reported the company. According to the agreement, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and Karabatan Utility Solutions will build a coal-fired thermal power plant of 310 MW. TPP will be built in Atyrau region on the northern coast of the Caspian Sea.

The construction work is scheduled to be completed in February 2018, according to TASS.

Currently, South Korean businesses take part in implementation of a number of large-scale projects worth $ 8 billion on the territory of Kazakhstan.
