SPIEF to be held under 'Leaders for new era' motto

SAINT-PETERSBURG. March 10. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/ The 15th anniversary St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on June 16-18 under the motto 'Leaders for new era'.

It was announced at the sitting of the coordinating committee for the preparation and holding of the Forum in 2011. It was held in St. Petersburg and St Petersburg Vice Governor Mikhail Oseyevsky chaired the sitting.

Around 4 thousand participants and 1 thousand journalists from different countries are expected to take part in the Forum.

Three main topics are already outlined for discussion at the forum. These are 'Ensuring global economic growth', 'Building creative capacity of Russia' and 'Technologies expanding horizons'.

The program of the forum will also include business breakfasts and 'roundtables'. The traditional session on energy with world experts and heads of the largest energy companies participation will be an integral part of the Forum.
