Spirit of Helsinki revived in new historical conditions - N.Nazarbayev

ASTANA. December 3. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The best way to see the future is to do it yourself today. President of Kazakhstan has announced closing the Summit.

"I'm sure that we will create reliable defense against transnational threats, will give future generations a priceless legacy - security and prosperous future. Today we closed the books on the difficult stage of the history of our Organization. The spirit of Helsinki revived in new historical conditions. I am convinced that the Eurasian vector is available to bring together the East and West, North and South, give powerful impetus to the OSCE development, understanding of key issues of the world order. I see quintessence of the "Spirit of Astana" in this", N.Nazarbayev stated.

"Success of new stage of the Organization's activity depends on our abilities to implement decisions of the OSCE Summit", the Head of the State said.

Closing the Astana Summit, the President wished success and fruitful work to Lithuania on the post of the OSCE chairman.
