Sports facilities for Asian Winter Games will be finished - Head of State

sp; ALMATY. November 13. KAZINFORM. /Yekaterina Ionova/ In 2011 Kazakhstan will host Asian Winter Games. The citizens of Pavlodar are concerned about the difficult economic situation that can hinder preparation for such a grandiose sports event. In today's live broadcast they asked the Head of the State whether Kazakhstan can find sources for holding the games.

The President noted that despite the holding and preparation for the Asian Games falls on difficult period the Government of Kazakhstan was charged to finish construction of all sports facilities. He said that a ski-jump as well as the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace, Medeu sports complex and a 30,000-seat roofed stadium would be finished on time.

N. Nazarbayev stressed that the funds budgeted in the event would not be idle. "The state will offset a part of expenses through advertising, renting of sports facilities and tourist flow.
