State awards presented to deputies of Majilis of the fourth convocation

ASTANA. December 14. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Parliament has carried out a solemn sitting devoted to the 20th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan. At the event on behalf of President Nursultan Nazarbayev Kazakh Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev handed over state awards to deputies of the Majilis of the fourth convocation; the Chamber's press service reports.

Emphasizing the historical role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in formation of new statehood, K.Saudabayev noted the President's invaluable contribution to development of the country.

K.Saudabayev said that under leadership of the Head of State the deputies made their contribution. For four and a half years the Majilis approved and directed 525 bills to the Senate. 493 of them were signed by the Kazakh President as laws.
