State Counselor Erlan Karin on raising prestige of working professions

The Head of State declared 2025 the Year of Working Professions, Kazinform News Agency reports.

“In his remarks at the Ulttyq Qurultay meeting, the Head of State consistently promotes the importance of cultivating the values of hard work and professionalism. The country gradually raises the prestige of working professions and increases wages for teachers and medical workers. The best workers of productions and representatives of labour dynasties are constantly awarded, and professional holidays are celebrated,” Erlan Karin notes.

The State Counselor adds that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed the law according to which nine new honorary titles were added to the system of state awards (in addition to the existing six honorary titles). Honorary titles were included for scientists and inventors, engineers, architects and builders, miners and coal miners, geologists, workers of the industrial, transport, agricultural and water sectors.The recognition of merits at the state level will be a good motivation for all professionals and will contribute to further increase of authority of a working man.

"It is symbolic that this law was signed on the eve of the new year 2025 declared by the Head of State as the Year of Working Professions," Erlan Karin highlights. 

On September 2, 2024, in his annual Address to the Nation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of improvement of the country’s personnel potential. He declared year 2025 as the Year of Working Professions.
