State Counselor Karin participates in KazISS Academic Council’s meeting

The meeting defined the main areas of analytical work and key events of Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies scheduled for 2025, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Akorda press service.

In particular, KazISS will focus on studying the domestic policy processes and economic trends of Kazakhstan’s development, and will determine the contours of foreign conjuncture. Alongside, the Institute will concentrate on creating data banks and expanding the network of regional representative offices.

In his remarks, Erlan Karin pointed out that the general agenda of state policy for 2025 had been set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his traditional January interview.

The State Counselor drew attention to the leading role of the KazISS in expert and analytical support of state policy, namely in formulation of proposals on regional development, in in-depth study of further economic reforms, analysis of the global geopolitics trends, as well as other relevant and in-demand areas. He emphasized the role of KazISS experts in clarification of the goals and objectives of Kazakhstan's foreign and domestic policy both in expert community and within the general public.

Karin highlighted that being the country’s major think tank, KazISS has been a key actor in building the international partnership ties with foreign analytical structures.
