State to provide employment of citizens

ASTANA. March 6. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ ?Unemployed Kazakhstanis will be involved in repair of utilities, auto roads, schools and hospitals?, President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said addressing the nation today, Kazinform reports.

?Firstly, this is the reconstruction and modernization of utilities. The Government and akims of the regions should estimate the expenditures for these aims and provide both financing the work and tough control over disbursement of every tenge allotted from the budget?, N. Nazarbayev said. ?Secondly, this is the construction, reconstruction and repair of local highways as well as renewal of social infrastructure, primarily, schools and hospitals. This is the task for the socio-entrepreneurial corporations which must provide employment of the population. Financial side of this issue will solved by the Government and akims?, the President added. ?Thirdly, the local objects in every community. It may be public services and amenities, roads repair, reconstruction of social objects at the expense of the local authorities?, the Kazakh leader said. ?The fourth is the increase of social jobs and organization of the youth policy. In 2008 over 13 thousand people realized their opportunities through these programs. Today we should extend the framework of the existing programs?, the President said. He urged to allocate KZT 8.6 billion for this purpose. As reported earlier, the Government was charged to invest not less than KZT 140 billion for the population employment program. The local budgets were also commissioned to allot funds for the promotion of the employment strategy. Thus, as a minimum about 350 thousand people will be employed.
