State Youth Prize ‘Daryn’ opens for entries

Entries are now open for the State Youth Prize ‘Daryn,’ Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh Culture and Information Ministry.

The State Youth Prize ‘Daryn’ was established to celebrate Kazakhstanis under 35, who achieved success in culture, science, media and sport. They include winners of international and republican contests, festivals and exhibitions, sports events of republican and international levels as well as candidates, who are engaged in innovative activity and contribute to the development of the relevant field and the society in general.

The winners of the State Youth Prize ‘Daryn’ are to be defined in 10 categories: Literature, Science, Design and Fine Art, Journalism, Classical Music, Creative Initiatives, Sport, Theatre and Cinema, Variety Art, Folk Art.

State bodies and public associations are entitled to nominate candidacies for the prize.

State Youth Prize ‘Daryn’ winners are granted with a diploma, badge and monetary prize.

The presenting of the Prize ‘Daryn’ is set to take place in a grand ceremony ahead of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Established in 1992, the State Youth Prize ‘Daryn’ has been awarded to up to 340 persons involved in different sectors so far.
