Storm alert in effect across 11 regions of Kazakhstan

Mets issued a weather alert for 11 regions of Kazakhstan on November 15, Kazinform Agency cites Kazhydromet.

High wind is expected in North Kazakhstan gusting 23-28 m/s. Akmola region is also to brace for strong winds of 15-20, gusting locally at 23 m/s.

Strong wind is also forecast to roll through Kostanay, Abai, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Ulytau, Karaganda and Zhetysu regions.

Fog is set to blanket Karaganda, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, Abai, and Kostanay regions, it said in a statement.
