Storm alert in effect across 17 regions of Kazakhstan

Storm alerts are in place for 17 regions of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Snowstorms and ice-slick are in store for Kazakhstan on December 4 in Astana in the morning and evening. High wind gusting 15-20 m/s, locally 25 m/s will sweep through the region.

Fog is expected to blanket Shymkent, Akmola region, Atyrau, mountainous districts of Zhambyl region and Kyzylorda region.

High wind will sweep through Abai region.

Snowstorms, ice-slick, fog, high wind gusting locally up to 23-28 m/s will batter Akmola region.

Aktobe region is s set to face slippery roads and ground blizzards.

East Kazakhstan will brace for strong wind.

Heavy snow and rain are forecast to grip Zhetysu region.

Ice-slick, fog, high wind and snowstorms are in store for West Kazakhstan.

Snowstorms are expected to batter Karaganda region.

Ice-slick and snowstorms will roll through Kostanay region.
