Storm alert in place in Astana and 13 regions of Kazakhstan

Most of Kazakhstan is set to wake up to foggy streets on Monday, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.

Fog is expected to blanket the capital city at nighttime and in the morning.

Akmola, Atyrau, Aktobe, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Mangstau, Kyzylorda, Turkistan, and Ulytau regions are also forecast to brace today for fog.

Ice-slick is predicted to form on the ground in Kyzylorda region.

High wind is forecast to sweep through North Kazakhstan.

As earlier reported, snowfalls are predicted to batter the north and west of Kazakhstan on November 16-18.
