Storm alert in place in Kazakhstan throughout Friday

Storm alert was issued for 17 regions of Kazakhstan and the city of Astana on November 13, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Kazhydromet.

High wind gusting 15-20 m/s is expected to roll through Astana.

Ice-slick is reported to form on the roads in West Kazakhstan, Atyrau and Mangistau regions with fog predicted in the morning and at night.

A ground blizzard is forecast to sweep through North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Aktobe, Karaganda, Kostanay, Ulytau and Abai regions.

Fog is expected today in East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Turkistan and Zhambyl regions.
