Storm alert issued for greater part of Kazakhstan

Mets issued a weather forecast for 15 regions of Kazakhstan for the last day of the year, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Fog is expected to blanket Astana in the morning and night.

Almaty region will brace for heavy snow with ice slick predicted in the north and south.

Fog is also expected in Pavlodar, Karaganda, Ulytau, Kostanay, Kyzylorda. Turkistan, Akmola, Mangistau and Zhambyl regions.
