Storm alert issued for Shymkent city and 11 rgns of Kazakhstan

 Storm alert has been issued for the city of Shymkent and 11 regions of Kazakhstan for January 24, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Kazhydromet National Met Office. 

According to Kazhydromet, fog is to coat Shymkent city on January 24.

The south and center of Abai region are to expect ground blizzard. 15-20mps southeasterly wind, reaching up to 23-28mps, is to batter the south and center of the region.

Fog is to blanket the north and east of Akmola region.

East Kazakhstan region is to brace for ground blizzard in the southeast and center. 15-20mps easterly, southeasterly wind gusting up to 25mps is predicted in the southeast and center of the region.

West Kazakhstan region is to see fog in the west and north.

Zhambyl region is to expect fog in the south and mountainous areas. 15-20mps southeasterly wind is to sweep across the region’s southwest, northeast, and mountains.

Zhetysu region is to brace for southeasterly wind, predicted to reach 15-20mps in the area of Lake Alakol with gusts of up to 23-28mps at times.

Black ice and fog are expected in the south, north, and center of Kyzylorda region.

Black ice is forecast for the south and east of Mangistau region int eh daytime.

Fog is to coat the north and west of North Kazakhstan region.

The west, center, mountainous and sub-mountainous areas of Turkestan region are to see fog. 15-20mps southwesterly wind turning eastward with gusts of up to 15-20mps in the mountains is predicted.

Ulytau region is to expect ground blizzard and black ice in the north and east. Fog is to blanket the region’s northern part.
