Strengthening Kazakh-US coop to be discussed in Washington
ASTANA. November 16. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Kazakh Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Umarov will visit Washington on November 18-24. The issues of strengthening strategic cooperation of Kazakhstan and the USA will be discussed there, Kazakh MFA's official spokesman Yerzhan Ashikbayev has announced it at the briefing today.
It is planned to discuss the issues of regional security and preparation of the Kazakh President's participation in the Global Summit on Nuclear Security scheduled for spring, 2010.
There are planned meetings of K.Umarov in the US President's Administration, Congress, Department of State, National Security Council, Department of Energy and Department of Defense.
"The visit program envisages the Kazakh diplomat's speech at the US Congress and report at the investment conference on Kazakhstan in New York", Y.Ashikbayev said.
