Strong earthquake rattles Mexico, one dead
MOSCOW. December 11. KAZINFORM A strong 6.7-magnitude earthquake hit the southwestern Mexican state of Guerrero, the U.S. Geological Survey said on Sunday; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
The quake stroke at 01:47 GMT. Its epicenter was located some 166 km (103 miles) southwest of Mexico City, at the depth of 64.9 km (40.3 miles).
Reuters said one person was killed when the roof of his house collapsed. Another person was injured.
Earthquakes are frequent in Moscow with dozens of tremors above 4.0 recorded every year.
