Strong wind and ice-slick to batter Kazakhstan, storm alert in effect in 13 regions

A storm alert was issued for 13 regions of Kazakhstan and Astana on November 3, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.

High wind gusting 15-20 m/s, locally 23 m/s is expected to roll through Astana.

High wind is forecast to batter Abai, Akmola, Atyrau, and Kyzylorda regions.

Ice-slick is expected to form on the roads in Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, and Kostanay regions.

Fog is forecast to blanket Almaty, Zhetysu, Mangystau, and Pavlodar regions.

Rain and snow are predicted to grip North Kazakhstan.
