Suicide bombing kills 6, injures 22 in N. Afghanistan
MAIMANA. November 6. KAZINFORM At least six people were killed and 22 others injured as a suicide bomber blew himself up in Afghanistan's northern Faryab province Friday, police said, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
"A suicide bomber, who might target the head of provincial council Ramatullah Tukistni, blew up the explosive device strapped in his body at a bazaar in Khowja Sabizposh district at around 11 a.m. local time," provincial police chief Khalilullah Andarabi told Xinhua. "As a result six people were killed."
He also said the head of provincial council is among the wounded people, and the suicide bomber was also killed in the blast.
The police chief blamed enemies of Afghanistan, a term often use by Afghan officials against Taliban militants, for launching the attack.
