Summer Paralympic Games winners and coaches receive state awards

Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the decree to honor state awards to athletes and their coaches for high sports achievements at the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, France, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Akorda.kz.

David Degtyarev, the gold medalist in the Men’s Powerlifting finals, was honored with the 1st degree Barys order.

Kazakh judoka Akmaral Nauatbek was honored with the 3rd degree Barys order for bringing gold in the Women’s 48 kg J2 to Kazakhstan.

Yerkin Gabbasov, Nurdaulet Zhumagali and Yergali Shamey, who secured the silver at the competition, are awarded the Parasat Order.

Bronze medalists of the Paralympic Games in Paris Dastan Mukashbekov, Zarina Raifova, Dayana Fedossova and Zhurkamyrza Shukurbekov were decorated with the Kurmet Order.

Head coaches of the national team and personal trainers of the athletes were also honored with high awards. 5 coaches were decorated with the Parasat Order, and 7 were awarded with the Kurmet Order. 2 coaches were presented with the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
