Swine flu cases in Russia total over 920 - top sanitary official

MOSCOW. October 20. KAZINFORM. The number of people diagnosed with swine flu in Russia has risen to 927, Russia's top sanitary official said; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

On October 15, there were 807 confirmed cases of swine flu in Russia. No one has died in Russia of the virus.

"A total of 927 cases have been officially confirmed across Russia, with 557 cases diagnosed among people who traveled abroad," Gennady Onishchenko said.

On Monday Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed a resolution to allocate 4 billion rubles ($136 million) to buy swine flu vaccines; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru for full version.
