Syrian president to name the date of a constitutional referendum soon

DAMASCUS. February 8. KAZINFORM Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will soon announce the date of a referendum on the new Syrian constitution, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday, according to Itar-Tass.

"President Al-Assad said he would meet with the commission, which drafted a new constitution, within days," the minister said. "The work is done, and the date of the referendum on this document important for Syria will be announced."
