T. Mussabayev: Russia is Kazakhstan's strategic partner in space development programs
Welcoming the participants Deputy Director of Roscosmos Vitaly Davydov noted the current forum which brought together delegations from 26 countries was devoted to the 75th birth anniversary of the first cosmonaut of the Earth Yury Gagarin.
"Uniting theorists and practicians of space activity the International Aerospace Congress gives an opportunity to discuss urgent issues and share experience which will lead to implementation of most ambiguous initiatives both of designers and developers of space equipment", V. Davydov said.
Delivering a report on "Development plan of space activity of the Republic of Kazakhstan" Head of Kazgarysh Talgat Mussabayev noted that Russia is a strategic partner for Kazakhstan in realization of space development programs. "Russia and Kazakhstan will further operate Baikonur space launching site. Baikonur located on the territory of Kazakhstan cannot be used without knowledge, experience and potential of the Russian Federation", T. Mussabayev highlighted.
The Chairman of the Kazakh Agency drew the participants' attention to the Kazakh-Russian joint project on establishment of Baiterek launch complex on the ground of Baikonur meant for launch of "Angara" perspective Russian carrier-rocket.
"Today the National space Agency of Kazakhstan expands international cooperation, in particular with India, France and Israel", he noted.
