Tajikistan, Uzbekistan FMs discuss issues of strategic partnership

Last week, at the initiative of the Uzbek side, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a telephone conversation, Khovar reports.

The ministers discussed the main results of Tajik-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and alliance in 2024 and tasks for 2025 with an emphasis on the coordinating role of foreign ministries.

The sides noted with satisfaction the high level of contacts and mutual support of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations.

The conversation was held in the spirit of mutual understanding inherent to the Tajik-Uzbek partnership.

Earlier it was reported that Tajikistan is set to collaborate with Iran in establishing a joint venture to produce elevators and escalators.
