Tashkent hosted event devoted to 20 years of Kazakh-Uzbek diplomatic relations

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Krymbek Kusherbayev and First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan - Minister of Finance Rustam Azimov and members of the Kazakh and Uzbek Governments, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan attended the event.
According to the Kazakh Embassy, the concert is a logical conclusion of the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Kazakh-Uzbek diplomatic relations' establishment. It is necessary to note, delegates of the two countries took part in the XII meeting of the intergovernmental commission for bilateral cooperation between the countries.
In his welcoming speech, Kazakh Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Uzbekistan Boribay Zheksembin stressed since gaining independence the heads of the two states had conducted the policy aimed at development and consolidation of the long-term bilateral and comprehensive cooperation. The evidence of that is the Treaty of Perpetual Friendship, regular contacts at the high level, significant volume of trade, mutual support within international organizations and close cooperation of the Central Asian region.
