Taylor Swift performed at London’s Wembley stadium, marking her first appearance since a terror plot led to the cancellation of three of her concerts in Austria’s capital just over a week ago, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

Despite heightened public concern, Swift did not comment on the cancellation of her Vienna shows. Instead, she opened the concert with her usual warm greeting, expressing how much of a ‘delight and thrill’ it is to perform for her fans. Notably, Swift also refrained from addressing the situation on her social media platforms.

During the concert, Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance, joining Swift during her acoustic set. Together, to the great delight of the audience, they performed ‘Everything has changed’ from Swift's ‘Red’ album, ‘Endgame’ from her ‘Reputation’ album, and Sheeran's hit ‘Thinking out loud’.

The show was the first of five concerts that Swift plans to hold at Wembley, which will conclude the European leg of her tour before she returns to North America.

In light of recent events, security measures at Wembley have been significantly tightened. London Mayor Sadiq Khan assured the public that the city has extensive experience in organising high-profile events, emphasising that they are ‘never complacent’.

The Metropolitan police also released a statement confirming that there is no evidence that the Vienna plot will impact events in London, but they remain vigilant and are closely monitoring the situation.
