Team from Astana wins 1 place in the republican team race competitions
The competitions involved 10 teams from Kazakhstan. Following the results of 5 days, a team from Astana city took the 1 place in the team classification (222 points), 2 place was taken by Karaganda region (190 points), 3 place belongs to Almaty region (113 points). Within the framework of the republican competitions in sprint, 1 place among men was taken by Pavel Vorzhev from Karaganda region, 2 and 3 places were won by sportsmen from the capital Zaki Sultanov and Merei Tolmaganbetov. In sprint among juniors the winner was Almaz Keneev, a trainee of the metropolitan cycling school. 1 place in sprint among women was won by Tatyana Zadnepryanova from Karaganda region, Astana resident Amelia Iskakova is on the second place, and 3 place was taken by Makhabbat Umutzhanova from North Kazakhstan region. In 1000-meter pair heat, Roman Lentarev and Pavel Vorzhev from Karaganda region became the champions among men, and 2 place was taken by sportsmen from the capital Zaki Sultanov and Merei Tolmaganbetov.
On the last competition day our sportsman from the capital Nikita Klevanov became the champion in omnium among men. Juniors had a keirin race, where all medal places were taken by sportsmen from the capital: 1 place - Almaz Keneev, 2 place - Vladislav Filipovich, 3 place - Eduard Rosenberg.
