Tenge rate adjustment to up gas supply tariffs

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Change in the exchange rate of Kazakh tenge will affect the gas supply tariffs only in the import dependent regions of the country," head of the Kazakh Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies Murat Ospanov said today in Astana.

"It concerns Kostanay, South Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions and Almaty city. The reason is that gas purchase accounts for 60-70% in the ultimate price structure," he added.
