Tennis Europe names Kazakhstani ‘Best foreign player of 2024’

Kazakh tennis player Ansar Niyetkaliyev, 14, was named "The Foreign Player of the Year" (for non-EU players) by the European Tennis Association, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from Olympic.kz.

Ansar demonstrated remarkable consistency in his results, finishing the year ranked 41st in the Tennis Europe rankings.

This year, Ansar Niyetkaliyev secured three singles titles in Soul Cup Istanbul (second category), Ankara Cup (third category), Ergan Cup Erzincan (third category),
and two doubles titles in Soul Cup Istanbul. In addition, Ansar reached the Boy’s Singles finals in the two Tennis Europe tournaments.

It was earlier reported that Kazakh freestyle skier Yulia Galysheva had showed the best result at the FIS Freestyle Moguls World Cup stage.
