The Center for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES), the main security agency under the current enforcement of emergency degree, delivered such message after Friday's meeting of the CRES chaired by Defence Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, according to a report of Bangkok Post online.

Colonel Sansern Kaewkamnerd, CRES spokesman, told reporters that the meeting discussed reports by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) that from November until the New Year, certain groups of ill-intentioned people may instigate violence in crowded areas and attack important people to stir unrest.

Therefore, the CRES has instructed all intelligence units, including the National Security Council, armed forces and police to keep watchful eyes on activities of these groups.

The anti-government red-shirt movement has said they planned to stage rallies in Bangkok in coming weeks.

Colonel Sansern said the NIA also received reports of suspicious movements of chemicals and explosives which can be used for making bombs, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
