He explained:

“Typically, these two recorders are located in the tail section of the aircraft. Specifically, for this aircraft [Embraer E190 – editor’s not], both recorders have been found and are currently being transported for decoding. This particular aircraft is equipped with a recorder that captures two hours of crew and aircraft activity. The investigation will have a nearly complete picture of events.”

The podcast guest also clarified:

“Black boxes’ are divided into two types. The first is the voice recorder, known as the CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder). It records everything that happens, including all voice communications and audio conversations between crew members. From the moment the aircraft starts its flight; this recorder automatically logs all these parameters: what the crew says, how they respond, and so on. The second recorder is technical, known as the FDR (Flight Data Recorder). It records the technical parameters of the aircraft, such as engine revolutions, oil pressure, and hydraulic pressure, the angle of joystick or rudder position, and aeronautical data.”

The full version of the exclusive interview will be available on the Kazinform YouTube channel and broadcast on the Jibek Joly television channel.
