The Day of Kazakhstan's Independence marked in Bolshoi Theatre, Russia

SCOW. December 2. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ The Kazakh Embassy in Russia has held a diplomatic reception on the occasion of celebration of the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The celebration began with a gala concert of Dariga Nazarbayeva at the new Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.

As Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Zautbek Turisbekov noted, 20 years of independence - it is an entire historical epoch, which contains significant milestone in the development of sovereignty, establishing effective governance, market economy, formation of independent internal and external policy of Kazakhstan.

Zautbek Turisbekov added that friendship and neighborliness with Russia are a main priority of Kazakhstan's foreign policy. "Russia is a key strategic partner and ally for Kazakhstan," the Ambassador said.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrey Denissov congratulated the gathers on the event, wishing further success in all fields of development of the fraternal people.

Heads of the Russian state departments, diplomats of foreign embassies accredited in Russia, representatives of research institutes and public organizations, Kazakhstan Diaspora in Russia as well as Russian pop stars attended the event.
