The EU business delegation arrives in Karaganda rgn
"The purpose of the mission is establishing trade and economic relations between Karaganda and European companies. We are presenting four European Union countries: Germany, Belgium, France and Luxembourg and the five regions. Here are representatives of 25 European companies that want to consolidate ties with Kazakh entrepreneurs", said the head of the delegation, chairman of the Walloon Agency for Foreign Trade and Investment Philip Sweeney.
Kazakhstan is a confident and secure country in the world, he said.
"The mission will serve as an enabling platform for establishing and expanding business and cooperation relations with companies from the European Union. I would like to persuade European business not to just deliver the goods to the region, but also to invest their money here", said in his welcoming speech the Deputy Governor of Karaganda region Anuar Akhmetzhanov.
As part of the economic mission there has been signed a memorandum of understanding between "Sary-Arka" JSC and the Walloon Agency for foreign trade and investment. "The memorandum is aimed at developing business relationships. Platform for dialogue between business in Europe and Kazakhstan has been established. In the schedule is the organization of meetings and exchange of information", said the deputy chairman of the Board of "Sary-Arka" JSC Madeniet Bozhbanov.
Members of the European business delegation will also visit the free economic zone called "Sary-Arka" and "ArselorMittalTemirtau" JSC in the Karaganda region.
