The Financial Times names Donald Trump Person of the Year

The British newspaper “Financial Times” has chosen the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, as “Person of the Year” for 2024, in light of his “incredible political resurgence” since the end of his first term on January 20, 2021, Agenzia Nova reports.

Despite the assault on the Capitol on January 6 of the same year and the harsh criticism, the newspaper highlighted his surprising political comeback.

“It is no longer possible to dismiss Trump’s first presidency as an isolated episode,” the “Financial Times” reported, specifying that Trump has returned to being a central figure in American and world politics.

Earlier it was reported that Donald Trump was named as TIME's Person of the Year 2024.
