- Mr.Nichkasov, the Eurasian Economic Union has started operation early this year. What is the difference between the CU and the EEU? - Customs Union abolished internal customs borders between the participating countries providing free movement of goods, while the EEU established free movement of goods, services, labor and funds. I should say that if the plans are implemented in full, industry, business people and entrepreneurs of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia will benefit with their expanded opportunities. They will be able to enter the markets of the EEU and partake in tenders and tenders for public procurement. - How do you assess the economic impact of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space? - In the first year of the Customs Union's operation in 2010, bilateral trade has grown by almost 40 percent. And for the past 5 years the total trade turnover between Belarus and Kazakhstan increased by more than 3 times. Thus, by the end of 2014 the trade between our states reached $ 1.2 billion. I think that showings reflect the effectiveness of economic integration. - What joint anti-crisis measures can be taken by the EEU member-states? - Today, everyone is interested in how our economies can compete and grow amid the global crisis. The EEU has already taken the necessary steps to minimize the consequences of a new wave of the global economic crisis. Therefore, one of the main anti-crisis measures of the Union is the implementation of the common trade policy, as well as the introduction of the coordinated industrial policy. And the most important measure will be the creation of a joint brand, a single brand for goods of the Eurasian Economic Union "Made in the EEU". - Would you tell me, what is your assessment of the status and prospects of bilateral economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus? - Today in Kazakhstan successfully operate 15 joint manufactures on assembling quarry and pit machinery, tractors, grain and forage harvesters, freight lifts, construction and utility equipment. - How do people of Belarus asses the new anti-crisis program of Kazakhstan called "Nurly Zhol"? - Proclamation of the New Economic Policy "Nurly Zhol" is a proactive, modern, pragmatic and clear response of Kazakhstan to existing challenges and threats. According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, Nurly Zhol is a large-scale development program designed for achieving the goals and objectives of "Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy". Nurly Zhol economic policy is aimed at addressing global challenges. It is aimed at building of the transport and logistics infrastructure, modernization of the national economy, the creation of innovative energy facilities and other relevant projects. I should note that the Republic of Belarus is ready to make a worthy contribution to the policy's implementation using the existing industrial and scientific potential of the country. - As you know, Kazakhstan will hold early presidential elections... - Belarus attends to the initiative of the people of Kazakhstan on holding early presidential elections. At a meeting of our presidents in March this year in Astana Alexander Lukashenko warmly expressed support of presidential candidate Nursultan Nazarbayev who was put forward by Nur Otan party. Belarus respects the choice of the people of Kazakhstan and wholeheartedly wishes Nursultan Nazarbayev the victory in the elections. - Thank you for the interview.
