The National Bank of Kazakhstan issues new collectible coins
The National Bank of Kazakhstan has released new collectible coins: AQ TUŃǴIYQ from the "Flora and Fauna of Kazakhstan" series, ERÝLIK from the "Customs and National Games of Kazakhstan" series, and ÙNDILIK TANYM from the "Ideas of the Universe" series, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
The collectible coins are produced by the Kazakhstan Mint. Information about the start date for coin sales will be posted on the official website of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
AQ TUŃǴIYQ collectible coins
AQ TUŃǴIYQ (white water lily) is a rare flower in Kazakhstan listed in the Red Book. For the first time, a new technology has been used to create these coins, featuring transparent enamel that mimics the effect of a water surface with a sandy bottom and stones.
The coins are produced in two variations:
- Silver (925 purity): crafted using 3D technology, weighing 100 grams, with a diameter of 50 mm, proof quality, a face value of 1,000 tenge, and a limited mintage of 500 pieces.
- Melchior alloy (MN 25): Weighing 15 grams, with a diameter of 33 mm, proof-like quality, a face value of 500 tenge, and a mintage of 5,000 pieces.
ERÝLIK collectible coins
Erýlik is a Kazakh tradition symbolizing unity, mutual support, and hospitality.
The coins are produced in three variations:
- Silver (925 purity): Featuring an interference rainbow coating, weighing 24 grams, with a diameter of 37 mm, proof quality, a face value of 1,000 tenge, and a mintage of 1,000 pieces.
- Melchior alloy (MN 25): Weighing 15 grams, with a diameter of 33 mm, brilliant uncirculated quality, a face value of 200 tenge, and a mintage of 10,000 pieces.
- Nickel silver alloy (CNZ 15-20): Weighing 11.17 grams, with a diameter of 31 mm, uncirculated quality, a face value of 200 tenge, and a mintage of 100,000 pieces.
ÙNDILIK TANYM collectible coins
ÙNDILIK TANYM is the second coin in the "Ideas of the Universe" series, dedicated to the mythological theories of ancient civilizations about the creation of the world.
The image of the world on a turtle standing on elephants symbolizes the structure of the universe in ancient Indian cosmology. This concept is frequently referenced in epic and mythological texts. The turtle, representing the God Vishnu, embodies the foundation of the cosmos and its stability.
The coins are crafted using advanced technology from silver (925 purity) with a tantalum insert. The total weight of each coin is 162.2 grams, with a diameter of 50 mm, proof quality, a face value of 2,000 tenge, and a limited mintage of 500 pieces.
Earlier, the National Bank of Kazakhstan has released ASTANA QALASYNYŃ BAS MESHITI collector coins from the Mosques and Cathedrals series and FATIMA QOLY coins from the Magic Symbols series into circulation.
