The Rompetrol Group to change its name to KazMunayGas International

ASTANA. KAZINFORM The Rompetrol Group N.V. will change its name to KazMunaiGas International N.V., KMG press service said.

"Changing of the company's name is part of a strategy to promote the brand KazMunayGas and capitalization of its business. The "umbrella" brand is a prerequisite for strengthening the market position of the group of companies under the brand name KMG both within the country and for its successful entry into the foreign markets," said Zhanat Tussupbekov, managing director external refining and marketing, KazMunayGaz - director general of The Rompetrol Group. Thereat, Rompetrol brand used in the retail sector will remain.
