There have never been any phobias in Kazakhstan and never will be – President
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has visited the newly-built House of Friendship in Turkistan, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Akorda press service.
The complex built at the President’s instruction accommodates Qogamdyk Kelisim public association, the Council of Veterans, the Council of Mothers, the Council of Mediation of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan and the representative offices of 11 ethnic and cultural associations.
The Head of State surveyed the building and met local intellectuals and members of the Kazakhstan People’s Assembly.
The President said he had specially arrived in the holy land of Turkistan. He emphasized that the region has a bright future and thanked the veterans for being a role-model for youth.
In his speech, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of supporting the younger generation.
“We all need to work together for the benefit of our country. You all are aware of the current situation. There are various external risks. More than 50 ethnic groups are living here, in Turkistan region. I am thankful to all of them for friendship, for hard work which benefit our state. There have never been any phobias in Kazakhstan and there never will be, because we are a united, tolerant, patient and hardworking nation. This is the most important thing. We will further continue building our harmonious society,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
