Three best students included in ?Golden book of intellectual elite of Astana school students?

ASTANA. May 22. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Winners and laureates of the international and national intellectual competitions have been honored at the #62 Lyceum in Astana today.

In whole Astana numbers 135 school students ? participants of such contests. 85 out of them took part in international scientific competitions in Russia, the USA, Greece, Hungary, Brazil and France. As Director of the Education Department of Astana Asima Bimendina informed, there was published a ?Golden book of intellectual elite of Astana school students? where the names of the most worthy students would be written. The first three students whose names appeared on the pages of the book are Aigerim Shamshidin, Dias Kazbekuly and Nazym Bashkenova. ?Today we are summing up the results of the 2008-2009 academic year. In 2006 we established a ?Golden book of the best teachers of Astana?. Today we are publishing its ?second volume? ? the ?Golden book of intellectual elite of Astana school students?. The criteria of the selection were academic progress of a student, active participation in international and national contests, scientific competitions and other. To my mind the event will be important in patriotic bringing up of the students?, A. Bimendina said.
