Three regions of Kazakhstan face drinking water shortages

Kazakh Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov revealed what regions are facing drinking water shortages, Kazinform News Agency reports.

One of the regions facing water scarcity challenges is Mangistau. He added the second stage of the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak water pipeline was launched recently. The volume of water was increased by 60,000 cubic meters.

Besides, Atyrau and Akmola regions are also experiencing drinking water scarcity.

The minister promised to solve the current water deficiency issues by 2025.
