Thrilling competition continues at Asia Triathlon Championship in Jubail

Some 240 male and female athletes of different nationalities and age groups yesterday competed for the second day at the Asia Triathlon Junior, U23 & Mixed Relay Championship, organized by the Saudi Triathlon Federation at the Dareen Beach in Jubail, SPA reported.

The event drew large crowds and featured thrilling competitions among the participants.

The second day of the competition kicked off with the elite category for women under 23, followed by the elite category for men under 23. The event proceeded with the junior category for women and wrapped up with the junior category for men.

In the Elite U23 women's category, Ga yeon Park of Korea came in first place, followed by Cade Wright from Hong Kong, China, in second, Japan's Mako Hiraizumi in third, Indonesia's Martina Ayu Partiwi in fourth, and Japan's Himeka Sato in fifth place.

In the Elite U23 men's category, Robin Elg from Hong Kong, China, came in first place, Kazakhstan's Alexandr Ten and Yegor Krupyakov won the second and third place, respectively, followed by Japan's Amu Omuro in fourth, and Indonesia's Rashif Amila Yaqin in fifth.

The Junior women's category saw Japan's Kanade Sugiura and Ayame Hayashi winning first and second place, respectively, Pauline Courret of Hong Kong, China, in third, Korea's Seoeun Park in fourth, and Japan's Rio Noda in fifth.

In the Junior men's category, Japan's Takuto Oshima came in first, Kazakhstan's Arlan Zhanabay in second, Japan's Kazuna Asanuma in third, Ali Zhanat from Kazakhstan in fourth, and Indonesia's Bima Muslim Perdana came in fifth place.
