Tokayev arrives in Ürümqi

Kazakh Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev laded in Ürümqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, as part of his official visit to China, Kazinform Agency has learnt from Akorda. 

It is expected that the Kazakh President is to meet with Ma Xingrui, Secretary of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), to discuss the current issues of regional cooperation.

Earlier, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan plays a special role in the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative.
