Tokayev highlights key role of IOC in promoting Olympic values and supporting athletes
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Sports Director of the International Olympic Committee Kit McConnell, Akorda reports.
The meeting focused on the prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan’s National Olympic Committee and the IOC.
During the meeting, the Kazakh President highlighted the key role the International Olympic Committee plays in promoting the Olympic values and supporting athletes.
The Head of State confirmed the readiness of Kazakhstan for further cooperation to facilitate the development of domestic sport and international partnership.
In turn, Kit McConnell hailed the active participation of representatives of Kazakhstan’s sport community in promoting the Olympic movement and wished the Kazakhstani team new achievements at upcoming competitions.
