Tokayev invites Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to visit Kazakhstan

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025, Akorda reports.

During the meeting, Tokayev pointed out that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Nigeria, which has the largest population and is among the largest economies in Africa.

In turn, Bola Ahmed Tinubu confirmed his readiness to make joint efforts to elevate the bilateral relations to a new quality level.

In this regard, the Kazakh leader invited the Nigerian President to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.

The sides discussed prospects for promoting cooperation in trade and economic, transport and logistics, energy and agriculture sectors.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the current issues of international agenda, highlighting the importance to increase interaction within multilateral structures.

Earlier it was reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan addressed the issue of food security while delivering his speech at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025 in the UAE.
