Tokayev, Macron visit ‘Ethnic Village’ exhibition
Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emmanuel Macron visited the Ethnoauyl (Ethnic Village) exhibition in Astana, Kazinform Agency cites Akorda.
On the occasion of the official visit of the French President to Kazakhstan, a special exhibition Ethnoauyl presenting the rich cultural heritage of Kazakh people was organized.
The heads of the two states were welcomed by the performers of the Theatre of Young Spectators and the Korkyt ethnic-folklore ensemble at the exhibition site.
Tokayev and Macron toured the fruit market ‘Green bazaar’ getting familiarized with handicrafts, works of masters of the Kazakh fine art, as well as a collection of national clothes of domestic designers.
The Kazakh and French leaders familiarized with the exposition ‘The Gold of the Great Steppe’ made up of exhibits of the National Museum (‘Golden Warrior’, ‘Berel Horse’, ‘Sarmat Leader’, ‘Kypchak Warrior’), a well as the natural musical instruments from the Dukenuly Museum.
They also saw a bout between Qazaq Kuresi wreslers and how the Kazakh people play a game of Asyk atu. The presidents also saw the beautiful Tazy dogs and hunting birds at the exhibition.
