Tokayev meets Astana mayor Zhenis Kassymbek

 Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was presented the information about the social and economic and infrastructure development of the capital, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service. 

The President was informed that the Kazakh capital observes the positive dynamic in all key economic indicators. In 10 months of this year, the amount of investment in the capital surpassed KZT1trl. By the end of the year, it’s planned to commission 25 investment projects to the tune of KZT87.7bn, including 14 projects in manufacturing, seven projects in education and health, four projects in logistics. The projects are to allow for creation of 1.4 thousand working places.

The Kazakh Head of State was also briefed about the ongoing heating season.

The mayor of the city talked about the construction of social facilities (schools, affordable social housing, health centers), completion of long-term construction, demolition of emergency and dilapidated housing, development of residential estates, and so on. In particular, the construction of five schoolchildren’s palaces is to begin next year. State kindergartens are slated for construction as well.

In conclusion, Kazakh President Tokayev gave a number of instructions on further development of social and engineering infrastructure.
